If you want to give your partner something meaningful, but don't have a big budget, then you could always make them their own custom set of anniversary cookies!
Start with plain sugar cookies (or make their favorite cookies if you'd rather not decorate!) And use royal icing or frosting to spruce up your cookies. Add special pictures or words or make them in the shape of hearts to make them extra thoughtful.
When they have cooled and/or dried, wrap them in cellophane and prop them up nicely in a basket, or tape the backs to long sticks and make your own gourmet anniversary cookie bouquet!
