The preparations for one’s wedding day are possibly one of the most exciting in a lifetime. Every small detail of this auspicious day, will mark the beauty of commitment and lifelong blessings. We are thrilled that my brother-in-law, will be getting married in August in Johannesburg, South Africa, where my husband’s family is originally from. Although, our entire family (of nine!) wish we could attend this celebration, we will have to be there in spirit, while my husband attends to represent all of us!
For many months I was thinking about how our family could be a part of this wedding. I decided that one hundred beautiful silk tea bags, from Harney and Sons, would be a most personal way for us to be there in ‘good taste’. Each tea bag was lovingly tied to it’s new tag, one that was personalized with the name of the bride and groom.
The tag read as follows: “Grant & Ashleigh, The Perfect Blend.” and was designed to keep with their color scheme for an Autumn wedding in South Africa (yes, I know it’s crazy to think that Autumn is in August!). This is actually going to be a surprise, as my husband will be bringing the tea, neatly packed in mason Jars, complete with a matching label on the lid. To bring the whole look together, each flavor of tea will be written on the matching personalized cards and placed in front of each tea jar.
Guests can linger long after the dancing is over, with a soothing cup of tea, for both body and soul. And with every sip, our family will be part of the celebration, with a ‘flavor’ of love, and a deep ‘aroma’ of blessings, which we wish upon Grant and Asheigh, for life! Mazal Tov!
